Concept letters (two pages, max) for planning and/or pilot programs can be submitted during both open grant cycles in order for the Board to determine whether a full proposal will be requested. NOTE: Concept letters are not required for ongoing or previously funded programs. For the Spring Grant Cycle, full proposals are accepted from January 1 to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time on January 31. All applicants will be notified of the Board’s decision within 60 days. Notification will be sent via letter.
The Schwab Foundation Board of Directors is currently developing a new strategy for the grant acceptance/awarding processes. Since this major strategy project is still ongoing, the Autumn Cycle grant acceptance period from July 1 to July 31 is ON HOLD until further notice.
As a condition of the receipt of grant funds, all organizations must agree to submit a full financial accounting and narrative report detailing program outcomes within 60 days after the end of the grant period. If possible, photographs (jpeg preferred) of the program/project should be included with the final report.
