Concept letters (two pages, max) for planning and/or pilot programs can be submitted during both open grant cycles in order for the Board to determine whether a full proposal will be requested. NOTE: Concept letters are not required for ongoing or previously funded programs. For the Spring Grant Cycle, full proposals are accepted from January 1 to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time on January 31. All applicants will be notified of the Board’s decision within 60 days. Notification will be sent via letter.

The Board of Directors of the Schwab Foundation is currently developing a new strategy for the process of awarding grants. Until further notice, the Schwab Foundation will not be accepting new concept letters or full proposals. The Board of Directors may, however, award grants to previously funded programs on a case by case basis.

As a condition of the receipt of grant funds, all organizations must agree to submit a full financial accounting and narrative report detailing program outcomes within 60 days after the end of the grant period. If possible, photographs (jpeg preferred) of the program/project should be included with the final report.
